CRAIG A.
BRINER
Managing Partner
Mr. Briner has been actively engaged in the real estate industry for the past 26 years in all facets of the real estate development process. In 1982, he became President of Shannon Properties, Inc., and began targeting speculative real estate development throughout North America. At the peak of operations, Mr. Briner oversaw construction of more than 2-million square feet of industrial, warehouse, and office space, and was responsible for more than 700 employees and annual sales that exceeded $60 million. The fallout from the Resolution Trust Corporation led Mr. Briner to form Urban Resources, Inc. in 1994. This entity typically purchased assets in some form of distress, usually financial, which allowed value creation through the development process. Numerous banks in North Carolina relied upon Urban Resources to help resolve their real estate-owned portfolios.
Mr. Briner believes that sustainable growth and environmentally-friendly construction are the responsibilities of every developer. He is passionate about revitalizing underutilized property and creating a product that is aesthetically pleasing and will stimulate growth. Under Mr. Briner’s leadership, GreenHawk has earned a reputation as a leader in creating smart growth.
Mr. Briner currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, a city he is committed to helping grow responsibly. He received a B.A. and M.B.A. from Bowling Green State University.
