WILLIAM
R. GUPTON, JR.
Managing Partner
William Gupton joined
the GreenHawk team in 2005, and is responsible for financial reporting
and various operational and governance aspects of GreenHawk projects.
After graduating from North Carolina State
University in 1986, Mr. Gupton began his career with Ernst & Young
where he became a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Upon departing
public accounting, William worked with two venture capital funded
organizations where he was responsible for financial reporting,
operations and general management before becoming CFO of PCX
Corporation.
PCX, a venture backed start up company, was
a pioneer in the construction of prefabricated electrical distribution
centers for national big box retailers. William helped manage PCX’s
rapid growth, became the company’s President, and was instrumental in
the sale of PCX to Integrated Electrical Services in 1999.
Subsequent to PCX, William has worked with
other companies such as ProMedex and NetOctave, where he was
responsible for acquisitions, divestitures, and various capital
transactions.
In addition to his responsibilities with
GreenHawk, Mr. Gupton has Managed Oberlin Capital LP, a Small Business
Investment Corporation since 2003. Oberlin is licensed by the Small
Business Administration and specializes in subordinated debt financing
of established companies. Currently, William serves as a Director
on the Board of two privately held companies and is an Advisor to
another privately held company.
